The Dolomites

The majestic Dolomites were only recently inducted into the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi – Europe's largest high-altitude plateau – is situated in steep limestone reefs from which the Dolomites arose.
In the Dolomites, hikers, mountain climbers, and also skiers have ample opportunity to enjoy the region's spectacular natural beauty. Well-maintained and marked hiking trails, secure climbing routes, and modern ski resort areas (Dolomiti Superski, with more than 1,200 km of slopes) make the Dolomites a popular holiday destination in both the summer and the winter.
